AFS Intercultural Programs is an international, voluntary, non-governmental, non-profit organisation that provides intercultural learning opportunities to help young people develop the knowledge, skills and understanding needed to create a more just and peaceful world. AFS is the original foreign exchange student programme in the world having commenced in 1947.

AFS NZ provides extraordinary intercultural learning opportunities for high school students. As a country, we host and send students. We are a leader in intercultural learning and international exchanges powered by a local network of committed volunteers throughout the country.
